Lazard Hires Slaughter, a Former JPMorgan Deal Maker

NEW YORK--()--Lazard Ltd (NYSE: LAZ) announced today that Larry Slaughter will join the firm as a Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Investment Banking, effective June 3. Mr. Slaughter was most recently at JP Morgan, based in New York, where he was co-head of North American Investment Banking, having previously served as head of European Investment Banking Corporates in London.

During his 26-year career at JP Morgan, Mr. Slaughter became one of its most accomplished investment bankers. He has led many transformative M&A and capital markets transactions in aerospace, automotive, capital goods, chemicals, healthcare, and other industries. Mr. Slaughter spent two decades in London, where he was co-head of European M&A and head of the European financial sponsors business. From 2008 until his return to New York in 2011, he was Head of European Investment Banking Corporates. He joined JP Morgan in 1987. Mr. Slaughter earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Columbia University and a Master’s Degree in Economics at Oxford University.
