“This Is Bull#%*t”: The Full Code Conference Video of SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son

Masayoshi Son. SoftBank, Sprint, Code Conference

As promised, we’re posting the full videos of interviews from the recent Code Conference.

A new video of one of the many stellar speakers for the event, which took place two weeks ago in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., will go up every day. (You can see a compilation video of the speakers here.)

There’s no question that the longtime head of SoftBank, Masayoshi Son, the Japanese holding company for a range of digital and mobile assets, was one of the liveliest speakers at the conference.

Son, who made big and bold bets to grow his business in the Japanese wireless market, is now trying to merge his No. 3 U.S. carrier Sprint with rival T-Mobile, a move designed to better take on AT&T and Verizon. It’s quite a regulatory challenge that Son has taken on, which he discussed in this interview with Walt Mossberg.

Also discussed: SoftBank’s stake in China’s Internet powerhouse Alibaba Group and lackluster U.S. Internet speeds, as well as his attitude toward fixing such a problem in Japan: “This is bullshit.”

Here’s the terrific Son in action in the full video of the interview:
