Lloyds Chairman to Retire

Winfried Bischoff, chairman of Lloyds Banking Group and a former interim chief executive of Citigroup, will step down from his position by May, 2014. The British bank, which is 39 percent owned by local taxpayers after receiving a bailout, said the exact date of Mr. Bischoff's departure would be dependent on the appointment of his successor.
