HONG KONGâ€"Houlihan Lokey, a privately owned investment bank based in Los Angeles and specializing in advisory services, has hired a top regional banker from Lazard to head its Asia business.
Houlihan Lokey on Monday announced it had appointed David Timblick as managing director and head of Asia as it seeks to expand its corporate finance, restructuring and advisory services across the region.
Mr. Timblick, who will be based in Hong Kong, spent 14 years at Lazard, having served most recently as head of the bank’s Asia advisory practice. He also previously held senior positions at the Korea Merchant Banking Corporation and Arthur Andersen Consulting.
“David will be a critical resource to colleagues and clients alike as we increasingly bring our expertise in corporate finance, restructuring and financial advisory to clients across Asia,†Houlihan Lokey’s chief executive, Scott Beiser, said in a statement.
