Global authorities are preparing to levy more than $700 million in fines against JPMorgan Chase over the bankâs huge trading loss in London last year, a rebuke that comes as the nationâs largest bank is confronting an onslaught of legal woes.
The bankâs board is meeting on Monday and Tuesday to approve the fines, which could be announced as soon as this week, according to people briefed on the matter.
A spokesman for the bank could not be immediately reached.
